Thoughtful exterior care

A brighter home. A considered approach.

Traffic film, algae and years of exposure can leave an otherwise well-kept home looking tired. Cleaning may reveal the original colour and detail without the disruption of replacing sound materials. We start by discussing the finish you would like and checking what the outside of your home is made from.

Brick, lime mortar, natural stone and painted render respond differently to moisture and abrasion. A suitable method may involve a gentle wash, an appropriate treatment or controlled wet blasting on a compatible surface. A test area helps establish a sensible finish before any wider work is agreed.

The assessment considers access, pointing, existing coatings, window seals, air bricks and nearby planting. Any cracks, loose render or other defects that need a separate repair should be identified before cleaning. The scope of work and areas to be excluded belong in your written quotation.

After cleaning, the working area is checked and tidied. Repointing, painting, sealing or other maintenance is not automatically included. Where follow-on work is appropriate, it can be discussed separately so that there are no surprises.

Your questions, answered

Can you clean a mixture of brick and render?

Yes, the assessment can consider both, but the method may change between surfaces. Delicate render should not automatically receive the same treatment as sound brickwork.

Will I need to be at home?

Access, water, parking and any arrangements for windows or pets are agreed before the visit. The team can then explain when your presence is helpful.

Is painting included?

No. Cleaning and painting are separate services. Your quotation should state exactly what is included and whether any follow-on preparation is proposed.
